(formerly known as Xi’an Railway Signal Factory), located at No.3 Jinhua South Road, Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, China, is a wholly-owed subsidiary company of China Railway Signal & Communication Corp. Xi’an Railway Signal was found in 1959, which is a key enterprise designated by the Ministry of Railways to develop and manufacture complete sets of rail transit system electric equipment, track circuit equipment, point switch equipment, electric control equipment for locomotives, computer interlocking system and electronic information products. The products of Xi’an Railway Signal have covered the whole country and sold across more than 10 foreign countries. Meanwhile, Xi’an Railway Signal is the key enterprise of the national mechanical industry, the enterprise having the independent import & export right, the national “863” DIMS application engineering enterprise, high-tech enterprise of Shaanxi province, safe production standardization enterprise of Shaanxi province and the enterprise have distinct contribution to the industry growth of Xi’an. Xi’an Railway Signal is working to develop new technology and products in the field of rail transit system for many years, successful designed and developed first sets of ZD6 and ZD7 series electric point machine, switch closure detection system, 25HZ and 50HZ phase-sensitive track circuit equipment, TD5 control console, GU combination cabinet, K5 computer interlocking system, WJD-1 microcomputer-relay interlocking equipment, electrical control system of DF type diesel locomotive, copper radiator of diesel locomotive, braking resistance devices of diesel locomotive, electric switch point heating system, passenger information system of urban rail transit, ZD(J)9 electric point machine and external locking and installation equipment and 250/Km/h point switch equipment. The products of company won a lot of awards from the second prize of State Science and Technology Progress Award, and the first prize of provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress awarded.

Based on the traditional advantage on developing rail traffic electromechanical products, Xi’an Railway Signal constantly adjusting product structure, carrying out new product development and technical  transformation , developed its new products such as point switching system equipments for passenger special line and high speed line, electronic signaling control system equipments, intelligent  control platform, standard locomotive control system equipment, passenger information display system and energy feedback type traction power system and drive system for urban rail transportation. It has the capacity of annually manufacturing 15000 sets of point switching equipments, 300000 signal relays, 300 sets of locomotive control equipments as well as passenger information display system for 50 trains and electronic signaling control system for 1000 stations. In recent years, Xi’an Railway Signal use the opportunity of great development in railway and urban mass transit, undertaken the key science and technology project “ Development of Energy Feedback Type Traction Power System and Drive System of Urban Rail Transportation”, which supported by National “11th Five-Year Plan”.
