CRSC has its independent research and design capability. Every year, big investment is pumped by CRSC into the system development and relative technology studies. Through the cooperation with the famous universities, laboratories and world-famous enterprises, CRSC forms its own powerful strength of R&D.
The main standards for railway control have been compiled, and various systems and equipment have been established and developed, improved and adopted to the China railway and urban transit projects. The main sectors of the research and development are: Basic Theory of the Safe Control; Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS);Safe Signal Platform (Computer based); Relative Industrial Standards on Signal and Communication of Chinese Railways; Joint-establishment of China Train Control System (CTCS) standards; System and equipment on railway signal and communication.
